I mean you aren’t your character you can have a character that has completely different ideas and opinions to you because you are not them
I think you’re misunderstanding me. I’ll try to find some examples, but there are people whose focus in their gallery is drawing Nazi characters, but for being Nazis they don’t actually do any of the things Nazis do. I could understand if you created a character who is a Nazi in a story, but these people just like drawing Nazis.
Many artists create characters with histories that they don’t write out for others to see though. Not everyone is a writer. Perhaps these people are just creating characters like lots of people create OC’s.
I know that Nazis are a tough subject to discuss because it always ends with “they’re bad” which I don’t argue BUT, so what if they just like drawing Nazis? Let them do their thing. Yeah I may not like their subject matter but whatever. I don’t have to appreciate it. This chick pretty much only draws Reinhard Heydrich stuff (rather prettily if I might add) and while I think it’s pretty fucking weird, I’m not gonna jump down her shit for it. I’m not cool with the idea of censorship. She can draw whatever the fuck she wants IF someone’s running around being a douchebag nazi to other people, that’s one thing. If you’re just drawing Nazis….I can’t really say you shouldn’t.
