He represents the balance between the emotions and the intellect. He is able to listen mindfully to others, can respond calmly in a crisis, and he uses diplomacy rather than force. He has power in the business world and is fond of law and order.
(Reversed) The King of Chalices can be emotionally controlling and manipulative. He is toxic, moody, sulky and withdrawn from others. He can be vindictive and vengeful and has a talent at being able to punish others through emotional manipulation. The King of Chalices may depend too much on how others view him. He may fall into delusions or others forms of escapism to deal with emotional pain.
